Itinerary
We are thrilled about getting this transatlantic group together. It's a very long way to travel for many of you, so we want you to treat it as a holiday and let us show you a good time! Arrive when you can, join us for as much of the celebrations as you like, and feel free to go off on your own adventures as well!
Before the Wedding
We would love the chance to show you around and are more than happy to help you plan activities and do fun things! Once we have a clearer idea of who is coming and when, we can make some plans! We've put some ideas below for your consideration.
The day before the wedding, after rehearsal, we'll definitely be heading to a relaxing, super casual spot for a beer and a po-boy. All are welcome to join us!

The Wedding Day
The Ceremony
University Presbyterian Church
Baton Rouge, LA 70802
Join us from 2 pm for a 2:30 start
The church is very close to The Cook Hotel and we will arrange a shuttle service for guests at the hotel.
A bit of history of the church is here. The lovely and much-loved Reverend Patti Snyder will officiate.
Expect a "Hybrid Wedding" between UK and US traditions. Read up on the differences: "Common Differences between UK and US Weddings".
The Reception
Immediately following the ceremony, festivities will begin at the home of Lamar and Beverly Jones (Janet's Father and Stepmother).

There will be plenty of food (big buffet) and drink (all sorts), live music (Phat Hat), room for dancing, a bit of speech-making, etc. Kids will be well looked after!
Expect this to be a bit of a hybrid between UK and US traditions as well!.
The After-Party
When things wind down at the Jones home, we'll head to the bar at The Cook Hotel for an after-wedding debrief. For the severely jet-lagged, this puts them within striking distance of their pillows!
After the Wedding
We head to New Orleans the day after the wedding and all are welcome to tag along and ring in the New Year!
After a few days in New Orleans, we'll head to Pensacola, Florida for a little rest and relaxation on the beach before heading back to the UK. Again, all are welcome to join!
